The fourth interview in the Tate/Art Monthly Talking Art series is between acclaimed artist Christian Marclay, renowned for his collages of music, sculpture, film and image, and art historian, Gilda Williams. Marclay's best-known works include Recycled Records, 1980-86, collages of broken and re-assembled vinyl record still playable on the turntable; the video Guitar Drag, 2000, which features an amplified Fender guitar attached to a rope being pulled behind a pick-up truck; Video Quartet, 2002, a 4-screen montage of great and/or obscure musical moments (in Tate’s Collection) and The Sounds of Christmas shown at Tate Modern in 2004. Marclay recently had a solo show at White Cube.In collaboration with Art Monthly
